991 thrust transmitter is mainly used for raw equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors,

or fans prefer to provide simple 4 to 20mA proportional axial displacement (thrust) signals as inputs to their mechanical control systems.

A transmitter is a 2-wire, loop powered device that can accept inputs from a 3300 NSv * proximity probe and its accompanying extension

cable (available in 5 meter and 7 meter system lengths).

The transmitter adjusts the signal to an appropriate engineering unit 1 proportional to the axial position of the shaft and provides it as an

industry standard signal of 4 to 20mA to the control system 2 that experiences mechanical protection alarms and logic.

The 991 transmitter has the following significant functions:
• Integrated Proximitor * Sensors do not require external devices
• Non isolated "PROX OUT" and "COM" terminals with coaxial connectors, provide dynamic vibration and gap voltage signal

output 3 for diagnosis.
• Non interacting zero and range potentiometers under the transmitter label support loop adjustment.
• Test input pins allow for quick verification of loop signal output using variables dc voltage source as input.
• The power suppression circuit eliminates signal errors caused by line voltage transient.
• Abnormal/signal failure circuits can prevent problems with proximity probes or loose connections.

• DIN rail clips or partition mounting screws can be selected as standard options to simplify installation.
• Potted plant structure for high humidity (up to 100% condensation) environment
• Compatible with 3300 NSv proximity probes, allowing for sensor installation in small areas with minimal clearance, typical of

centrifugal air compressors.
