Additional info:	The Nautibus electronic VME-PROF-S VMEbus interface module is a completely independent PROFIBUS DP slave interface on the VMEbus board. This interface is based on SPC3-ASIC and handles layer 1/2 of PROFIBUS protocol (DIN 19245/EN 50170) and MC68331 processor. 64kB dual port RAM is used as the data interface for VMEbus. VME-PROF-S uses PROFIBUS DP slave firmware (DPS) to build an independent and configurable DP slave interface. The slave device is configured through dual port RAM. This configuration can build up to 32 configuration bytes and use up to 244 input bytes and 244 output bytes. The total amount of input/output data can be 400 bytes. Due to arbitrary configuration, the slave devices can meet the requirements of the VMEbus system, or the VME-PROF-S can be used to simulate other slave devices.
